Mid-Level GIS Technician/Analyst

Mid-Level GIS Technician/Analyst providing technical support to entry level staff while working independently to accomplish various GIS tasks in a timely manner. This position requires the candidate to be experienced with the ESRI family of products, ArcGIS 9.X, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Extensions, preferably from an engineering perspective. Knowledge of the various tools within ArcGIS is also helpful, as is experience with GPS.

Responsibilities include the following:
-Creation of high-quality cartographic products
-GIS technical and cartographic assistance to on-site staff
-Spatial data generation and processing
-GPS data collection
-Conversion of spatial data between software and hardware platforms
-Maintaining and creating spatial databases

Minimum requirements:
-BA/BS in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Physical Science, or related area of study
-Three years continuous work experience using GIS/ESRI products
-Thorough knowledge of ArcGIS
-Previous experience using Trimble GPS
-Previous experience in cartographic production or map design
-Experience with raster data
-Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Compensation:
The salary range for this MID-LEVEL position is based on a combination of education, knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and will range from $47,000 - $60,000.
